Breeding of laboratory animals

The Laboratory Rodent Nursery and Aquatic Vivarium of the Preclinical Translational Research Centre are facilities where populations of various lines of laboratory rodents and zebrafish (Danio rerio) are regularly maintained. In collaboration with the Cell and Genetic Technologies Group, genetically modified lines of mice and fish are generated.

Facts

• The premises comply with all relevant sanitary-epidemiological and veterinary requirements and regulations.
• The air supplied to the housing premises by the ventilation systems is subjected to two-stage purification and corresponds to ISO Class 7.
• The facility's biological safety level corresponds to ABSL-1 (minimal hazard).
