Biobank and master bank services
Biobanking is essential for storing and studying biological materials in a systematic way and is a key link in drug discovery and medical development.
The Biobank at the Preclinical Translational Research Centre acts as
— a specialized cryopreservation facility with collections of biological material samples of different types
— a site for complex studies at the epidemiological, genomic and proteomic levels, as well as molecular genetic studies of any complexity
Services:
- Collection of blood, NA (DNA, RNA), protein, tissue, cell culture samples, etc.
- Aliquoting of biosamples
- Storage of biosamples in cryogenic chambers (at -80 C° and -196 C°)
Working with databases and collections of biosamples:
- Service to access information on the availability of biosamples with specific characteristics and to obtain biosamples with specific characteristics
- Storage of medical and laboratory information on biosamples
- Exchange of biosamples between biobanks and medical organizations
