Galina Obraztsova

Senior Researcher of the Research Laboratory of Children’s Diseases Diagnostics and Treatment, MD

In 1987, after graduating from Leningrad Pediatric Medical Institute, she worked in Vsevolozhsk Country Hospital as a medical intern, medical resident and child cardio rheumatologist. Then from 1991 to 1992 Galina worked as the doctor of the Cardio rheumatology Advisory Department of Leningrad Regional Children's Hospital.

In 1992 she entered the graduate school in “Pediatrics” in Leningrad Pediatric Medical Institute and graduated it in 1995.
In 1997 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences. From 1995 to 2001 she worked as an assistant at the Department of Hospital Pediatrics in St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy. From 2001 to 2003 was an Associate Professor of outpatient pediatrics. From 2003 to 2006 G. Obraztsova was in full-time doctoral study at Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy.

In 2009 Galina Obraztsova defended her doctoral thesis on “Risk Factors influencing on the development of essential hypertension in children and adolescents” in “Pediatrics” specialization.

Interest field: pediatric cardiology, cardiovascular system functional diagnostics.
Galina has certificate in “Pediatric Cardiology”, “Functional diagnostics”, and “Ultrasound diagnostics”. She is the author of more than 50 published scientific and educational publications, including monographs.
