Head of Laboratory
The main research area is the molecular basis of the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases. Major current projects focus on studying the cellular and molecular bases of the development of cardiomyopathy and ascending aortic diseases.
Also, the use of the approach of induced pluripotent human cells and release of C-kit + cardiac progenitor cells for the study of cell and molecular bases of cardiac and aortic diseases.
State Assignments
Since 2018, the specialists of the Research Laboratory have been participating in the following state assignments:
- “Development of approaches for activation of the progenitor potential of resident cardiac stem cells for myocardial tissue regeneration”, supervised by A. Malashicheva.
- “Study of the regulation mechanisms of the voltage-gated sodium channel Nav1.5 in order to find new targets for arrhythmia treatment” supervised by A. Karpushev.
- “Study of genetic bases and development of new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of isolated and combined congenital malformations” supervised by A. Kostareva.
- “Circulating microparticles as endogenous carriers of nucleic acids in the pathogenesis of inflammatory and ischemic conditions of the cardiovascular system” supervised by A. Fedorov.
- Development and implementation of new molecular genetic and proteomic approaches for the diagnosis of primary and secondary cardiomyopathies for selecting personalized therapy and for prognosis” supervised by A. Kostareva.
