Medical Technology Transfer Centre

    

The Medical Technology Transfer Centre of Almazov Centre was established on 1 June 2022 to ensure an effective approach to technology transfer processes.

During 2022, new schemes were developed for interaction with external and internal contractors. The specialists were trained in management and development of intellectual property, and processes related to the registration of medical devices and drugs.

As part of the transfer processes, Almazov Centre became a co-founder of three small innovative enterprises under licence agreements for intellectual property.

The following small innovative enterprises were registered:
• Functional Nutrition Centre, LLC
• Cardiologist's Assistant, LLC
• Registr-Genom, LLC

In preparation for the market release of promising products from Almazov Centre, particularly those developed within the framework of the World-Class Research Centre, a series of measures were initiated. These included the development of roadmaps and recommendations to establish tasks for the registration of medical devices and drugs under development.

In 2022, information and marketing support was provided for services and projects of Almazov Centre in the field of medical devices and drugs at prominent exhibitions and events, including the St. Petersburg Small and Medium Business Partnership 2022, the V St. Petersburg Medical Innovation Forum, and the St. Petersburg International Research and Educational Salon. In addition, educational activities were conducted in accordance with the Boiling Point concept of Almazov Centre.

Purpose
• To provide a favourable environment for the transformation of an idea into a product with a market value.

Objectives
• To create an effective approach for transfer and system support of infrastructure processes at Almazov Centre through a single consistent traceable system for technology transfer processes.
• To identify promising projects and scientific developments.
• To ensure protection of the intellectual activity results of the Almazov Centre's teams within the legal framework.
• To provide assistance to the Almazov Centre team in the areas of promotion, marketing, finance, intellectual property.
• To contribute to the development of innovative enterprises.
