Radioisotope scanning and positron emission tomography (PET/CT) Radioisotope scanning is a modern imaging technique based on the use of radionuclide-labeled chemical compounds. This method differs from other diagnostic imaging services such as ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MRI in that it is able to assess the functional state of organs and tissues, cell metabolism and receptor status. |
The Laboratory is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment of the world's leading manufacturers. The use of automated analyzers ABBOTT, Roсhe, Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Becton Dickinson and original reagents ensures the highest level of performance for the best possible results. |
The Functional Diagnostics Department is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities and has a dedicated team of experienced and highly qualified diagnosticians. |
X-ray departments of the Main Clinical Complex, Rehabilitation Clinic, Perinatal Centre, Children’s Rehabilitation Clinic and Polenov Neurosurgical Institute are equipped with state-of-the-art digital X-ray machines to ensure the highest level of diagnostic service for patients. Digital X-rays produce a significantly lower level of radiation compared to traditional non-digital X-rays, which is especially important in pediatric imaging. |
Endoscopy is the primary diagnostic modality enabling the direct visualization of gastrointestinal tract. This procedure provides better diagnostic performance as compared to indirect visualization (e.g. by X-ray). |
