Ekaterina Luneva
Senior researcher of Research Laboratory for connective tissue disorders, PhD
In 2001 graduated from Pavlov State Medical University (Saint-Petersburg) with a degree in “General medicine” and then in 2002 finished Internship in “Therapy”.
In 2004 she entered Residency in “Cardiology (cardiac surgery)” in Federal Almazov Medical Research Centre and took PhD training, finished it in 2007.
From 2005 to 2006 Ekaterina Luneva was an intern at the University of Hull (UK).
In 2008 she defended PhD thesis in the theme “Anatomical and functional characteristics of the left atrium in patients with heart failure and atrial fibrillation”.
After graduation till now she works in Federal Almazov Medical Research Centre.
Ekaterina is a member of the Russian Society of Cardiology, European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging, and European Association of Heart Failure.
Her research fields lay in aortic aneurism in patient with inherited connective tissue disorders.
