Opened in 2009, the Library was initially designed to act as the Centre’s digital information centre conforming to modern standards with access to the latest scientific and educational resources in healthcare.
In 2014, following the affiliation of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute, the Library of Almazov Centre comprised the oldest book depository of the Institute.
In 2020, the Library was moved from the main building to the new hall in Solnechny.
In 2021, the third site of the Library was opened in the building of the Medical Education Institute on 11 Akkuratova street.
Today, users can access collections needed for educational and research purposes from all three locations: 11 Akkuratova street, 12 Mayakovskogo street and 6 Srednyaya street (Solnechnoe).
The Library serves as a unified information space and caters for the educational and research needs of all users (faculty, students and medical staff).
